Less long shot: if GMS is Grandes et Moyennes Surfaces (shops selling powdered milk and cheese = corps gras solides????), and IND is "industriels", i.e. factories using same to produce foodstuffs, might BP be Boulangeries/Patisseries, using same on a smaller scale?

: Agree that BP/IND could be Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Industrielle (usually singular) - if this is a possibility in the context.
