Rachel Fell Jun 28, 2006:
What is before and after it?
bewley (asker) Jun 28, 2006:
commerce de gros I've had commerce de gros suggested as the translation of CG
bewley (asker) Jun 28, 2006:
CG I don't know what CG means either. The phrase just appears in a list of milk and cheese based products and the client is being very unhelpful
Rachel Fell Jun 28, 2006:
more context? What is the CG?

Long shot: BP for "basse pression", as something to do with the process involved? Do you have more context?

Less long shot: if GMS is Grandes et Moyennes Surfaces (shops selling powdered milk and cheese = corps gras solides????), and IND is "industriels", i.e. factories using same to produce foodstuffs, might BP be Boulangeries/Patisseries, using same on a smaller scale?

Well, butter if not cheese.
Peer comment(s):

agree Rachel Fell : I thought it might be "gras"

agree Anna Quail : Agree that BP/IND could be Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Industrielle (usually singular) - if this is a possibility in the context.
